You are unlikely to catch 'a cold' unless you are in close proximity to someone who is carrying the relevant bacteria and you are particularly run down or in an 'at risk' category. If you're too hot take your coat off and put on a pullover instead!

How bad is chilly for your health?

It is not a cause of any health problem. It is more of an indication that the body is trying hard to maintain core temperature, so you feel 'chilly' when your body starts to shiver to build more heat. The reason that many people think it is a cause in itself is because the conditions associated with feeling chilly are usually at times of the year when we are more susceptible to such things as the common cold, like wintertime.
