If you have braces can you still get your wisdom teeth removed?
Answer In most cases, there should be no problem in having your wisdom teeth extracted while you are still wearing braces. This is usually done when there is an infection on …the wisdom tooth, or when the extraction is indicated to help with the orthodontic treatment. Answer .
After having had braces, for four years, the orthodontist told me which teeth had to be extracted PRIOR to the braces being put on. The extraction sites had to then heal, before the braces could be applied. Working around braces is so difficult, that normal dental cleanings and flossing can NOT be done.

What can hurt when your wisdom teeth are coming in?
Wisdom teeth also called 3rd molars usually start to erupt anywhere from 17-21 years old with excepts since everyone is different and may vary. Some people never have them com…e in while others may have been born without 1 or even all 4 of them. When they erupt, the teeth have to cut through bone and tissue just like all the rest of your teeth. The "extreme" pain some may feel is from not having enough jaw space for the new teeth to come in. So instead of a smooth eruption, the teeth come or try to come in slanted (called impacted molars) pushing on the 2nd molars in the mouth because there isn't enough room to turn straight and pop through. The impacted wisdom teeth can cause extreme pain, jaw ache, and infections from the whole process. Please see a dentist if you start to have such pain to avoid complications and advanced discomfort. It will not get better if erupting wisdom teeth are not extracted.
