well, the role of the house keeper in a hotel is just cleaning, the washing, clearing out the bins, making the beds, prepare new and cleaned sheets. That's all they do really but i don't think they get much money even though it's like a 5 Star hotel...
I'd say on a scale of 1-10 about 8. For one thing, if you don't have good hygiene and sanitation in a restaurant it might make costomers sick make them not want to come back to the restaurant.
the importance of cleaning and sanitizing a restaurant is:
1. when people or sick or have a cold. germs get every where. even if it is just a cough or a sneeze. so they sanitize the tables and doors, and anything someone touches. oh and you dont even have to have a cold, you get germs from where ever you go.
2. if the don't clean up plates, and garbage, it will build up and what do you think would love to come in? rats, and bugs. this is one of the things that no one likes. especially the health inspector. if the health inspector come and sees any of this, the restaurant will be shut down.
3. who wants to be in a dirty, and germy restaurant where they eat, and drink? i know i wouldn't. the restaurant would probably be at the rating of 1 star. and be shut down.
example:
cause- everything dirty, nothing sanitizing. effect- run out of business, and be shut down.
i hope this helped!
Housekeeping is an important part of a hotel's reputation. If the hotel is not well kept and neat, people will not want to stay there.
Probably to do stuff like washing the table cloths, napkins, etc and the maintenance is probably for fixing broken stuff like if a table or chair breaks.
clean all the areas and equipment properly
