You really don't need a special pokeball but if you have a AR you can get unlimited master balls and that is what i used

Turn on the pokedex and look at the list if you see blank spaces those are Pokemon you haven't seen yet, if you see a Pokemon's name but no pokeball that means you have seen it but you don't own it, if you see a Pokemon's name and a pokeball that means you have seen it and have owned it.

I only know that in Platinum If you swim in the lake beside the Battle Frontier and go upwards, You'll Reach Stark Mountain where Heatran will be available and that you can get Cresselia somehow but I don't know any Secret ones in Diamond unless you include ones that you need the AR for(Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus ETC.) and ones that you need the old games for(Regis) P.S. I think you can still get Heatran and Cresselia in Diamond Though.

You can catch Heatran in stark mountain. You end up defeating team galactic and you lead buck to the magma stone. Heatran will appear after you speak with buck in the back of stark mountain. I think your thinking of Diamond or Pearl, I tried it in Platinum. Doesn't work.

No. Mesprit, Uxie and Azelf can be caught normally, they're just extremely hard (especially Mesprit).
