It's a scavenging bird like a vulture, that will eat anything... even dead, rotting, putrid things. As the saying goes: "you are what you eat," which applies to all living creatures. And if an animal ate garbage, then, it is garbage. Subsequently, if you eat that animal, you, too, are "garbage by proxy."

The "clean animals" of God's laws are animals that eat "vegetation." These animals are all "VEGETARIANS!" So, technically, if you only eat the meat of "clean animals" as listed in God's laws -- because "you are what you eat"... all of mankind could EAT MEAT AND WE'D ALL STILL BE VEGETARIANS!

Just a thought.

The existence of God's laws of "clean and unclean meats" isn't a matter of some mindless, meaningless religious ritual. It's always been a matter of proper dietary sustenance and maintenance of the human body; of man's proper "physical health." It's all about what's actually "good for our physical well-being."

Mankind's rejection of God's Laws [including His dietary ones] from the beginning has lent itself greatly to modern society's worship of doctors, the medical profession, government-mandated health insurance, and the general deplorable state of physical health in the nations of the world. Especially, the elderly whose 40, 50 or 60 year dietary abuses of and irreverent disregard for God's abundant blessings have resulted in poor health, pointless surgeries and procedures, endless visits to their doctors, the ungodly worship of pharmaceutical companies and the ever-changing creation of mind-altering drugs [all of from which men seek their salvation]... not to mention the monstrous money-making business that all of it is.

Man has rejected and reduced his Creator's laws to a mere archaic list of useless, superstitious religious rituals that only "fools" believe in, that have no place in the real computerized world.

The world doesn't consider that the "raven" is deemed "unclean" by God because IT IS UNCLEAN. He didn't intend for man to eat it or any of the other things listed in His laws of unclean meat. It's one of God's living, breathing "organic recycling plants" that He has set up in the world to clean up the dead and dying putrefying things in the world for the ongoing regeneration and recycling thereof.

Contrary to popular modern belief, God has considered and addressed man's "physical well-being" as well as his "spiritual" in His Word and among His laws. The Bible isn't the "religious book" most folks think it is. It's His revelation to His creation regarding what's GOOD FOR HIM... as well as WHAT'S BAD.

"ALL SCRIPTURE [which includes God's dietary laws of clean and unclean meat] IS INSPIRED BY GOD and IS USEFUL TO TEACH US WHAT IS TRUE and to MAKE US REALIZE WHAT IS WRONG IN OUR LIVES. It STRAIGHTENS US OUT [those who choose to believe and obey it] and TEACHES US TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT. It's God Way of PREPARING US in every way, FULLY EQUIPPED for EVERY GOOD THING God wants us TO DO." (II Tim.3:16-17 NLT New Living Translation)

Ravens aren't regarded by God as "unclean" for any shallow, vain ritualistic reason... but because they are PHYSICALLY a DISGUSTING CREATURE... that, according to our Creator, are totally unfit for human consumption. He created them to do exactly what they do: play their part in the maintenance and upkeep of planet earth; which includes the recycling of the dead and dying things in the world.

Ravens ARE WHAT THEY EAT. They're garbage-eaters. They exist among God's vast living army of mobile organic recycling plants that consume the garbage in the world. And their purpose becomes most evident in the event of wars... major world wars, or small ones.

"...I saw an angel standing in the sun, shouting to the VULTURES flying high in the sky: 'Come! Gather together for the great banquet God has prepared. Come and EAT THE FLESH OF KINGS, CAPTAINS, and STRONG WARRIORS; of HORSES and THEIR RIDERS, and of ALL HUMANITY, both free and slave, small and great.'" (Rev.19:17 NLT)

"...their entire army was killed by the Sharp Sword that came out of the mouth of the One riding the White Horse. And ALL THE VULTURES of the sky GORGED THEMSELVES ON THE DEAD BODIES." (verse 21)

"...the vultures will tear at corpses all summer. The wild animals will gnaw at bones all winter." (Isa.18:6 NLT)

"'So beware, for the time is coming,' says the LORD, 'when that place will no longer be called Topheth or the Valley of the Son of Hinnom [or the Gehenna Valley], but the Valley of Slaughter. They will bury so many bodies in Topheth that there won't be any room for all the graves. The corpses of My people will be food for the vultures and wild animals, and no one will be left to scare them away...'" (Jer.7:32-33 NLT)

Ravens are unclean because they eat unclean things. It's their job.

"...I will give you as FOOD TO THE VULTURES and wild animals." (Ezek.39:4 NLT)
