Most Governments have some level of censorship with their press. They do so to control the minds of their population and control the will of the people.
You control with information. This is the case today with many issues and most Governments. Watch the media and compare this to the politics of global warming and the science behind it. Politics is using this to control the flow of money from a few countries despite a complete lack of supportable science. There are many other examples,
Governments use censorship and distortion to steer public opinion away from what the people want and towards what the Government wants. You want a better life for you and your children, but the Government wants a world with a level playing field. The way that your Government makes you except a lower lifestyle is by creating a world in which it would appear you are killing with your lifestyle.
