No, it is not technically a scam. It is a legitimate high school diploma. BUT, it might not be accepted by ALL colleges. Quite a few do accept it though. It is best to call a few colleges that you might be interest in and see if they will accept credit from them. Usually they will, but you might have to take a few extra courses for them to. My older brother went through there. However he had no urge to go to college, but it did help his career alot. It is also one of the cheaper high school diploma programs from home. They have good customer service too, but you might be on hold for a half hour before you reach anybody. I myself was going to go through them, but have recently found several cheaper schools. Continental being the one I am researching at the moment. But I will call the college of my choice first to see if they will accept them before I will enroll. The only bad thing about Ashworth is the full money back thing is only 5 days from enrollment. Continental and several others give a full 30 days to give the program a try. Hope this helped.

Is Ashworth University a scam?
There appears to be too much inconsistency in what different organizations are saying about the institution. The College Board makes no reference as to the accreditation of the institution, while answers.com indicates it has a regional accreditation. The College Board site also states the school is a two year institution, but yet also states the school offers an associates, bachelors, and masters degree. I would recommend you search for a college or university with more of a stable history, rather than have the possibility of future problems. Make sure whichever institution you choose, that the school has a regional accreditation.Ashworth College:I did intense research on the Ashworth University (now Ashworth College) in 2006 to 2007. The College is located in Norcross, Ga., USA. It is accredited by the DETC (Distance Education and Training Council, which is an accrediting commission recognised by the US Dept. of Education).The Ashworth College also appears in the US Dept of Education's list of accredited institutes and universities. The Education Dept of the US Consulate General in Dubai, UAE (where I live) also confirmed it as an accredited degree granting institution.Even Facebook's pop-up list of universities contain Ashworth University in their records.
