One of my friends was killed by one. But yes, they exist, and if you ever happen to find one, this is how you should act:
-Do not make eye contact.
-Slowly start backing away.
-If there are trees or another hiding place, hide until it leaves.
-If not, don't run, they will outrun you, just stay calm and do not bother it.
