Depends on the dog and the actual cooidtinns being left in. What time of year and the region of the country should be taken into consideration. If it is during the cool or wet season be sure there is a place the dog can go to stay dry and warm like a dog house. For winter it would first depend on the breed of dog and if the dog has been spending hours outside already.
