Thus one may find people of all profession in Nath religion. This includes snake charmers, keepers of Pigs, ballards, Farmers, weavers, Priests, Purohits etc.
As per Ballal Charitam, The Guru of Ballal was a person of Nath religion. Later on there was a dispute among them, as a result their lands were forfeited and many intellectuals embraced Vedic system and others fled from his kingdom, left out Nath people were excommunicated in the societyestablished by Ballal.
