HD is not a sex linked disease- it crosses all boundaries of sex and race.
Unfortunately, HD is carried on a dominant gene. If one parent has the gene for HD, and the other does not, the offspring has a 50/50 chance of developing HD. However, if you do NOT inherit the gene for HD, you cannot be a "carrier" of HD. The Huntingtons Disease Society of America has more information at their website.
