no...not at all.... my 06 has over 300 K on it
3yrs. 36,000 miles. BUT..... Powertrain is 5 years 60,000 miles.. it also covers bad wheel hubs and bearings.
Perhaps a bad speaker.
Has very bad mileage. You get about 18 miles per gallon at its best.
Both my 05 and my 06 had the 1-2 shift solenoid go bad at 208,000....the part is like $30...but the labor will be over $600.
I currently own a 2006 Cobalt and I was having the same problem. The main thing that you should do is to do a maintenance on it. Not saying that it could be a number of other problems, but you should change the oil regularly,(they say every 3,000 miles, but look at the Info center on the dash and try to change it before it hits single digits), replace the air filter and fuel filter, and possibly change out the old spark plugs and wires. After doing this to mine, I saw a 3.0 mpg increase and ran a whole lot smoother.
parts wear out and you probably have a lot of miles on the car.

50 bucks from a Pick N Pull junkyard and you do the work yourself. 50-150 if you buy them on eBay or aftermarket ones and do the work yourself. 300+ if you take it to a dealership.
