It is easier to use tabs
It is much better to read notes for any instrument, tablatures are often wrong and have no clear way of writing rhythm crescendos decrescendos retardando's and many many other musical elemnts. tablatures just show you notes and sometimes slurs. they also don't usually don't show measures time signatures, usually chords and don't show the p,i,m,a,s fingerpicking notes iether.
while they are easier to start off on if you've never read music before there is a large benefit to reading sheet music over tablature.
I find it most beneficial to learn both. Tabs are easier to use where as note portray more information, but notes dont always show a scale or there may be an easier way to play it and generally speaking if you only know notes you have to find that out on your own but if you know both tabs can show you the easiest scale or the easiest way to play a particular song.
