Good luck and I hope it's nothing. this sounds just like what happened to me a couple of months ago. i had no idea what was going on.. my vagina was all swollen and it was peeling skin, just like a sunburn. i was not sexually active either and i am not sure if it is normal? but i never went to a gyno, and after a week, my skin went back to normal and it was no longer itchy or sore. I too want to know if this has happened to other people! i am glad it is not only me Yes I have had this also. Its painful and itchy sometimes and can bleed. It can be passed on through sex but since you are not sexually active I would say change your soap to a non-perfumed one and wash down there twice a day. Aldo buy some Dermotex from your pharmacist. It works a treat after 3days! Most problems that occur with the human body are more often than not common with other people. However this does not resolve the problem. Can you imagine if someone came on and said I have cancer does anyone else have it and they got three replies of yes and the person replied "ok then, nothing to worry about" A problem is telling you that something is wrong with the body-whether it be a slight allergy to more serious diseases. STDs sometimes have no symptoms or have symptoms that disappear but leave the disease still there causing damage. I plead that you go to the doctor or medical person for advice. This is their job and it wont hurt or even ring the NHS phone line found in your local directory. Answers need to be found Sorry to be harsh It could be an STD or just dry skin. I would see your GYN. But it might just be dry skin, I have terrible dry skin and this occasionally happens to me, especially in the winter or if I have been in pools a lot. If there is no real itching, redness, smell or anything like that try lotion (no scent, no color, hypoalergenic) and wear cotton underwear when you sleep and maybe a humidifier.
