There is no logical reason to can oatmeal. Oatmeal stores indefinitely in dry form, and cooks up in (literally) minutes. It is very doubtful that anyone's grandmother ever canned oatmeal. And cooking fresh oatmeal would be faster than defrosting frozen oatmeal.
