Be careful. Both are CNS depressants, and they may potentiate one another. Vistaril, another sedating antihistamine, is often given with narcotics for the purpose of added pain control and sedation. This should not be done casually, but under doctor's orders.
yes, however benadryl may boost the effect of the methadone.
I know for a fact u can because i am on 120 mg a day and to get off benzos the doctor as precribed me benadryl to help with sleep
It depends on how much benadryl you plan on taking.
If you plan on intentionally overdosing on benadryl for its psychoactive effects, that would definitely not be safe. Methamphetamine releases serotonin, and, with diphenhydramine being an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor), a combination of the two could result in Serotonin Syndrome, which is a very serious and life threatening condition requiring immediate medical assistance.
However, if the amount of benadryl you plan on taking is consistent with the label, the effect of diphenhydramine as an SSRI would be so minor that it would fail to be therapeutically relevant. In fact, it may assist you with falling asleep during a particularly harsh comedown.
In any case, anticholinergics (like diphenhydramine) aren't generally considered to be fun recreational substances; that is, unless you enjoy suffering from psychosis on a level so deep that you may find yourself in a hospital when you finally do regain control of your senses (this is very, very likely). You won't remember any of the events anyway, since transmission of acetylcholine is vital in recording memories. It's not fun. Trust me... just this once.
To answer your question, it's not unsafe to take the FDA approved amount of benadryl while on or coming down from meth. In any case, don't make a habit of it, and try to take the bad with the good as often as possible. Humanity would be extinct if "dangerous" drugs never made people feel their absolute worst. After all, there are two or more sides to everything that has ever existed. Even a perfect circle has an inside and an outside.
PS - Next time, just Google "X Y drug interactions" with the variables representing the substances you are inquiring about. You're leaving a permanent record of your activities by asking questions here and that's not super-secret like it should be. Also, anybody can post answers here, which allows for contemptuously arrogant responses from opposite-minded individuals like the one below that I chose not delete - neither am I a professional on the subject. Someone else will probably delete this response, too; it's full of rambling. Cheers to that person!
Original answer:
Only if you are a suicidal idiot. Have you any idea how many people are facing death through accidents, terminal illnesses, etc. They would give everything they own to have what you are calmly destroying, you ungrateful Turd.
Yes, from personal experience. I take methadone and i also take claritin all the time. But....see below
Once again, i am not a pharmacist, nor do i have any pharmacological training, so, be careful out there!

Is it okay to take Benadryl and meth?
What does your Vet say?
can diabetic take benadryl
Can you take protonix and benadryl onix
Can you take Benadryl if you are taking Digoxin
Yes. Benadryl can be drowsy, but they are okay together. Remember, these are usually given for 'cold symptoms' like cough and congestion. They do not cure the cold or make it go away any quicker.
Can you mix ciprofloxacin with Benadryl
No, Benadryl (diphenhydramine) will not give a false positive for methamphetamine. However, Benadryl may cause a false positive for methadone in simple immunoassay tests, though more advanced tests can resolve a disputed result.
I hope so...
Benadryl only lasts for 4-6 hours. There may still be some Diphenhydramine in your system up to 24 hours after taking the drug.Take one shot see how sleepy you get.
It makes you so stupid that you forget how to spell "meth".
No, do not take 8 Benadryl at a time to help you sleep. You should not take 4 Benadryl either. If you are having trouble sleeping, you need to speak to your doctor.
my answer to this would be yes i took benadryl throught my whole pregnancy because i was itchy and had skin rashes all the time from being pregnant but everyone is different you should consult your physcian before trying it!
