depends on what you define as human behavior and instinctive.

some would say its instinctive to say...protect your children. This can be seen as true as its not unheard of for parents to purposely place their own lives in jeopardy to try and save the life of their children in a split second Ex. a car comes barreling toward a child and a parent darts out in front of the car to push the child out of the way or offer some sort of protection from the impact.

instinct is defined as: an inborn pattern of activity or tendency to action commonto a given biological species.

if most parents would do this for their children, then it can be seen as instinctive.

Human behavior i believe is seen more of a thought out action. Instinct tends to be viewed as more reactive.
