Answer:

This is definitely not true.

Answer:

This may be true, but there is a bit more to what appears that might first be considered. Clear your mind and follow along with some ideas.

Humans are living in the middle of "the unimaginable vastness of the universe" and are (physically) made up of the constituent components of matter. In that light, we, as humans, are in a wonderful position to look around us and contemplate what it is that exists as "reality" for us. This is a question that might be best given over to the philosopher or the religious investigator. The scientist may want to consider the "big picture" as is suggested here, but will continue to "plod along" following his curiosity and the callings of the field in which he is investigating. Will all roads lead to the same destination? Time will tell.

Move forward with investigations. Continue to think about how things work and how they may be related. Speculate on the ultimate nature of consciousness, and on what the human spirit really is. Ask questions, debate issues, and argue 'til the sun comes up. Work together to solve technical problems and apply them to improve the lot of man, and avoid closing the mind to things as regards what lies on the other side of life as we know it. Invest in the now, believe in the future and make peace with all men. In that way you and others might be happy. Beyond this, you cannot ask for more.
