Yes, plastic is a solid. Various melting points of different types of plastic:

The melting point of HDPE (High Density Polyethelyne) is about 130 ºC
The melting point of LDPE (Low Density Polyethelyne) is about 110 ºC
The melting point of PET (Polyethylene terphthalate) is about 250-260 ºC
The melting point of PP (Polypropylene) is about 160-170 ºC
The melting point of PS (Polystyrene) is about 70-115 ºC
The melting point of PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is about 75-90 ºC

Some plastics do indeed have crystalline domains in their structure. these are called spherulites. Most of the domains in many polymers are amorphous though and not crystalline.

What are crystalline and amorphous two categories of?

These are two out of three categories of solids according to their geometry and arrangement. Crystalline solids have proper geometry having the particle arranged on definite axes possessing sharp melting point such as common salt, diamond, etc. Whereas amorphous solids neither have ordered arrangement nor a definite geometry. They have long range melting point such as glass, plastic, etc.

Is plastic a solid crystalline?

Some plastics are, some are not. Polymers like polyethylene and polypropylene can be partially crystalline. Typical commercial polystyrene is not crystalline, although a crystallized resin form (syndiotactic polystyrene) has been produced that resists deformation up to about 270 degrees C.
