Navkar mantra is means 7 breathing, each breathing to control all our desire centers call Chakra. Mahavir call it Kaustag to do meditation. But human mind need more activity than just to observe the breathing therefore Navkar created. all Jains sutra based on number of breathing (pure meditation).

The Ṇamōkāra mantra, also variously referred to as the Navakār Mantra or the Namaskār Mantra or the Pancha Parameshti Namaskār , is the most important mantra used in Jainism. While reciting this mantra, the devotee bows with respect to humans who have cleared their gathi karmas (arihants), fully liberated souls (siddhas), spiritual leaders (acharyas), teachers (upajjhayas) and monks.

In this prayer there is no mention of any names, including that of the Tirthankaras. Jains do not ask for any favors or material benefits from the Tirthankaras or from sadhus and sadhvis. This mantra simply serves as a gesture of deep respect towards beings they believe are more spiritually advanced and to remind followers of the Jain religion of their ultimate goal of nirvana or moksa.

Digambaras and Sthanakvasis regard the first five lines as the main mantra, the following two lines are explanatory.

The Mantra:

Ṇamō arihantāṇaṁ - I bow to the arihants.

Ṇamō siddhāṇaṁ - I bow to the siddhas.

Ṇamō āyariyāṇaṁ - I bow to the acharyas.

Ṇamō uvajjhāyāṇaṁ - I bow to the teachers.

Ṇamō lōē savva sāhūṇaṁ - I bow to all the saddhus.

Ēsōpan̄caṇamōkkārō, savvapāvappaṇāsaṇōMaṅgalā ṇaṁ ca savvēsiṁ, paḍamama havaī maṅgalaṁ - This five-fold bow (mantra) destroys all sins and obstacles

and of all auspicious mantras, is the first and foremost one.

Answer: Once you control 7 desire centers ( Chakras) with 7 breathing means you control all your five sences. After conroling 7 Chakras , 8th birth is Krishna means Soul experence (Devaki 7 children killed before Krishna 8th birth). Same way Jains have another most Important Mantra is Logus (25 breathings ) means first 8 for body , 8 for speach and 8 for Mind , that means once you control or puryfy 3 given thing to perform our work on earth you become God. Each Jaina Mantras has meaning like this. Do not stick to wordly meaning go for purpose behind.
