Well I guess that depends on how you think of it, I think of it as.... the number line goes 12345678 and 9 then it goes 10 but then in the 20's it only goes to 29 not twenty ten! Same as thirty it only goes to 39 not thirty ten! You can also think of it as the number line goes 12345678910111213141516 and so on so 10 and above are still considered numbers so there are larger numbers than 9 so I personally think that nine is not the largest number but I can understand why someone would disagree!
