Yes. Autistic brains generally have more connections on the small scale; those of people without autism will have more large-scale connections. That makes sense--autistic people are often very detail-oriented.

A child with autism will not be able to communicate the same way, he may also 'stim' which can be vocal *just noise* to movement stims *arm flapping is a pretty common one, as well as walking around in circles. A child with autism also may not play with toys, but like play with the door handle instead, or may just hold something and roll the wheels of a car I hope this helps a little bit

Is autism like locked in syndrome?

No. Autism is not like locked in syndrome. The two are totally different. A number of children with Autism have damage to a particular part of their brain. On the other hand, several different commutation problems have been given the catch all diagnosis of Autism. With Locked in Syndrome the problem is not in the brain but with the brain's ability to communicate with that part of the body that communicates with the outside world.

How long does it take to develpe Autism and why?

Autism cannot be cured - Autism is a neurological difference, not an illness to be cured.A person is born Autistic and remains Autistic their entire life, just as someone who is born Caucasian cannot be 'cured' of being Caucasian. Is ADHD physiological or psychological?

ADHD can have physiological or psychological symptoms. ADHD and autism are typically associated with neurological development problems with the brain. The brain wiring in a person with ADHD or autism is not as efficient as a person without ADHD or autism. The brain circuitry isn't wired as well, thus leading the brain to struggle with cognition and attention span.

Is autism bad?

It depends on your definition of bad. For example, if being different is bad, autism is bad. If viewing the world in a different way, perhaps noticing things that other people have missed, is good, autism is good. There are characteristics of autism that make life more difficult for the person with autism and his or her family. There are characteristics that other people might envy, such as excellent memories. Whether or not autism is bad is a subjective view. You can get opinions, but not definitive answers to that question.

Does autism have a vaccination?
