It depends, the M16 in MW2 has faster reload, teeny bit better accuracy, teeny bit faster ADS and less recoil (especially with the Holographic sight). The Famas, however has more power. But, I would recommend the FAL to any single or burst fire weapon user. When you equip the Holographic sight to the FAL, and your second perk is Stopping Power, the FAL is an excellent weapon. This is because at any range anywhere on the enemy's body (aside from headshots) it is a two hit kill. Hope this answered your question!

It is worth noting, however, that some special ops units of the French armed forces, as well as the palace guards in Monaco, opt for the M16 or M4 over the FAMAS.
