Yes they are different in many ways:
.rats are bigger
.rats have scaly tails but mices tails are furry
.mice droppings are smaller than a rats droppings - about the size of 1/2 a grain of rice
.rats can be aggressive, especially if cornered, they will attack but a mouse will just freeze
.rats have bellybuttons (i swear ive seen one!)
thier really not different they both are wild both like cheese/peanut butter and both break into peoples house
Mice and rats are both great, but it depends on their pros and cons :)
Mice tend to be more friendly and gentle-natured, and besides you can teach them tricks. However, a pet rat would probably considered "cooler".
P.S. It's MICE. :)
Since rats are generally larger than mice, they also have larger tails. Other than that, the tails are quite similar.
mice like cheese. rats dont.
No, mice and rats are two different species. Rats have rat babies, mice have mouse babies.

Hamsters originate form Syria.
Mice and Rats are rodents.
Different : Rat's are way bigger, and I think mice smell alot worse. Rats are more social, mice are more 'pocket pets'. Rats have longer tails. Same: They are both rodents, and require chew toys to keep their teeth down. Both look the same, except for their size.
they eat rats, mice, and anything in the mouse selected:)
