have you tried adjusting the compatibility for the executable to run in windows 98?
right click on the executable and go to properties then
click the check box for "run in compatibility mode for " then
click the drop down and select windows 98.
you may want to also check the "run in 256 colors" and run in "" resolution, as well as "turn off advanced texting services for this program"

It depends, as there isn't a certian amount, it depends on how big the castle itself actually is.
