Is there a way to reduce tongue depression left by a tongue bar and still keep the piercing?

You could get a longer piercing but that could be uncomfortable and is not reccomended. Depending on how long you have had the piercing, if you have had for a long period of time the depression could take a very long time to disappear or could say like that forever if you decide to remove it.

Why does your tongue swell every morning?
Your tongue swells because the piercing is still healing and when you sleep, your heart and tongue are on the same level. With your mouth open and snoring at night this tends to dry the tongue and the swelling occurs. The swelling will ease off over time as the piercing toughens up and heals further.

That is not a good idea, because your piercing is still in the healing process. If you take it out it is possible that you can still get an infection. The infection can get trapped inside your tongue and cause BIG problems.. wait until it is fully healed (4-6 weeks) before taking it out

A friend of mine got a tongue piercing at a professional and asked the same question. He said to wait about an hour or two and while you wait keep the ring in your piercing, because if its brand new with no ring in it, it will close faster than one you had for a while . So just wait about an hour or so with a ring in it. Then the pro said if the tongue is bleeding from when you pierced it first still or its swollen or whatever then you have to wait a little while. While you eat, take your piercing out since its new and the flesh of the tongue is still tender and you dont want to stretch it. Chew carefully and slowly . Hope i helped
Can you re pierce the scoop tongue piercing?
Oral piercing generally don't close up, they tend to just shrink. I would suggest a visit to your local professional body piercer and have him/her use a taper to probe the area and see if the piercing is still open (which it should be). This would save you a piercing fee and healing time.
