as far as hooking it up to a stereo receiver? well its all about inputs and outputs...if the mp3 player has a headphone plug that's an "output". sound is coming out of that hole so it can go IN to your headphones. and inputs on your receiver like Video-IN, CD-IN etc. that's were the sound is supposed to go IN so in can go to the speaker wires and OUT the speakers. just run a cable from and OUT put hole on the MP3 player to the INPUT hole or holes on the receiver. its like using your headphones as a Mic. seriously plug your headphones into your MIC hole on your computer and try and record yourself talking into them. ive done it. no lie!!!! It works because its all based in the INPUTS and OUTPUTS
They're both the same. A "channel" stereo receiver merely accepts a given number of channels (2,4,5, &tc.). A stereo receiver has 2 channels of audio output, left and right. A receiver marked as ___ channel receiver has the corresponding number of channels. For instance a 5 channel stereo receiver can play 5 different channels of audio through 5 speakers. If the receiver has a decimal, such as 5.1 or 7.1, that indicates that it has 5 or 7 channels of regular audio, plus 1 channel for subwoofer, making them 6 and 8 channels, respectively.
Connect the TV converter output to the receiver's TV input. Connect the DVD player to the receiver's DVD player input. Connect the VCR to another video input on the receiver. Thrown the equalizer out, as modern receivers don't have any way of connecting them to all the other components.
In general a stereo receiver,a dvd player(or changer),speakers and perhaps a tv.
Connect a audio cable from the Audio Out connectors on the cable box to the AUX In Audio connectors on the stereo receiver.
One can purchase a Bluetooth stereo receiver at Target, Walmart, and Best Buy. Bluetooth stereo receivers can also be purchased online at Amazon, eBay, and Belkin.
Any car stereo will work great with a Zune, but be sure to grab a wireless FM adapter if you don't want to be tethered to your receiver.
You cannot connect a receiver to this TV. It has no audio outputs. You can connect your stereo to an external source, such as DVD or BluRay player, or a game console.
You can connect a 14 speaker jack to a home tuner stereo receiver using the RCA connector.
A 14 speaker jack can be connected to a stereo tuner music receiver via an RCA connector.
Regular passive (non-amplified) speakers will need to be connected to a power amp (an old stereo receiver can do this). Connect the line out of the computer to the aux or tape in of the receiver, and then connect speaker cables from the receiver to each of the speakers.

I had the same thing in my 1995 Avalon XLS with the CD player. In order to plug anything in you either have to use the cassette player adapter or simply get a new receiver (stereo) for your car.
