I would like to see a 5th book in the Berrybender Narratives. From what I've seen of Larry McMurtry, my guess would be 'no.' He's mentioned in regards to Lonesome Dove that he reached a point where he lost interest in it and wanted to pursue other stories. The four-book, 1300+ pages of Sin Killer makes me wonder if he'll move on to other stories. I just finished reading Telegraph Days and was disappointed in comparison to the Berrybender Narratives. I feel he put little effort in Telegraph Days in comparison to Sin Killer. Personally, I feel his portrayal of first person female (Nellie Courtright) was poor and similar to a created character in my writing/RPG group. This is straying from the topic -- I would really enjoy a 5th book. If I had to bet, I would say Mr. McMurtry will not write a 5th. He will go on to something new. newt2nd@aol.com
