I can't think of any commonly used musical terms beginning with Y, although I can just about convince myself that I once say "Yearningly" in a piece. I may be making that up, though.

One phrase that's heard frequently in jazz circles but won't appear in an arrangement is "Yeah, man."

What French words starting with the letter 'y' describe Katy Perry?

Y, yeux, and youpi are examples of French words which begin with the letter "y" and which describe Katy Perry. The Santa Barbara-born vocalist in question tends to be described as being "there" at the music and socio-economic cutting-edge, having wonderfully expressive eyes, and making fans so happy that her concert noise-levels include lots of "Hurray!" and "Yippie!" The respective pronunciations of the adverb, noun, and interjection in question will be "ee," "yuh," and "yoo-pea" in French.
