How did you potty train at home? By making a game of it. Make a game of it when you are out too. When you go to a store, find the toilets first and check them out. If he needs to go he will. By now you should know his cycle; food in + x hours = garbage out. Don't get so absorbed in the browsing/buying process that you miss those vital facial expressions that you know mean 'something is brewing'.
