1999 TC that the heat and cool work properly in the front you only have cool air from the top vents The rear never switches to the lower vents Only cool or cold air comes out in the both?

All these terms employ cool in the sense of "not heated by strong emotion," a usage dating from the late 1300s or even earlier. The first three expressions are colloquial and date from the second half of the 1800s; both of the last two are slang, and the very last (take it cool) is the oldest, first recorded in 1841. How do you change the air conditioning vents to the correct position?

AC VENTS are in the correct position if they are open and free flowing. Some systems have a heat and an AC position for the vents. The AC position is so the cool air discharges from the vents higher on the walls or from the dash rather than floor or windshield in a car.
