Certainly not, because the SA80 A2 is arguably the better of the two rifles. The M16 is slightly less reliable, less accurate, and suffers from more stoppages in certain conditions than the SA80 A2. Also, the M16 is longer and less weildy than the SA80 A2, making it more difficult to operate in confined spaces. On a more interesting note, the design of the bullpup on the SA80 A2 is such that it restricts the rifle to being fired from the right shoulder only, (the M16 allowing its operator to fire from either shoulder) which causes problems when firing from cover especially in urban environment's furthermore the bullpup design makes the bayonet harder to use than on a more conventional weapons system.

If you were to ask the average British soldier that question their jaw would drop to the floor, the troops have such respect for the weapon a replacement is out of the question!
