Cindy Ella is a book about a sophomore outcast in one of the most exclusive private schools in L.A. Prom is coming up and Cindy is becoming sick of all the talk of prom. Because of this, she writes a letter to the school newspaper complaining about how prom is only an evil in the American society. When the newspaper is printed w/ the letter inside it, Cindy became an outsider to an untouchable. This didn't bother her. But her prom crazy step-sisters gave her some talking to. Only after this talk, Cindy decided that she needed someone to talk to. Her online friend, BRKLYNBoy, supports her ideas and everything else she stands for. At school, still being untouchable, Cindy developes a crush on uber popular Adam Silver. Of course, this crush is replaced by her twenty three year old SAT tutor. Her friends, India and Malcolm, attempt a makeover to make her more girlish. After trying that aspect on her tutor, Cindy finds out that hes gay. Yeah, shocker. Now, the crush is once again reaverted to Adam. The day before the prom, she nonchalantly agrees to a non-prom date with BRKLYN. She thinking that he lives a few thousand miles a way. On the day of the prom, Adam shows up and confesses to being BRKLYN boy. He never told her because she would think it to be stalkerish. Needless to say, she went on an awsome date w/ him and in school the next day, she is kissed by him in public, and becomes the envy of the whole school.
