I Have Ra and use Oral MTX as this a disease modifying drug that supresses the inflamation of RA. This drug has the effect of reducing your resistance against infections and causes a reduction in inflamation. MTX medicine may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Use a sunscreen when you are outdoors. Avoid sunlamps and tanning beds.Tell your doctor if you have increased skin redness or other problems.
