The mountains in the north of Italy are called "Alpi" in Italian and "Alps" in English.
It's a mountain chain and it's divided in: "Easterns Alps"("Alpi Orientali" in Italian); "Centrals Alps"("Alpi Centrali"); and "Westerns Alps"("Alpi Occidentali").
The most famous mountains are: "Il Monte Bianco"("The White Mount" in English); and "Il Monte Rosa"("The Pink Mount").
The Alps run through northern Italy, so there are many mountains in northern Italy; it would pay you to look at a map and get an idea of that part of Europe.
