My 94 Toyota corolla ex clicks once when i turn the key and engine wont turn. the 2nd or 3rd time i turn the key it does start but even then it clicks and then starts?
The starter solenoid/relay switch is going bad. Eventually, it will just click and not start.
Bad battery or bad battery connection. The click is the starter trying to engage, but lacking the power to turn the motor.
Your 98 neon wont start you put in two new starters all it does is click once good battery and fuses help?
Could be that the positive battery feed isn't getting to the starter. Possible that the engine is locked up, need to try to turn over with a wrench.
A single click when you try to start the vehicle usually indicates a corroded/loose battery cable or a faulty starter solenoid/relay switch.
\nCheck your battery connections. If they're tight and no corrosion is present, then your battery may be dead. Recharge or jump start the battery. Still clicking? Replace …the starter.
First, remove the fuse box cover under the hood on rt fender and have someone turn the key over to listen for a clicking sound. If this sound is heard, the starter relay is wo…rking. Next, use a multimeter and turn it to 20 VOLTS and touch the positive and negative terminals with the approprate leads and if the battery reads 12 or slightly higher, the battery is okay. The other option is to revove the battery and take it to AutoZone and let them check it. If that proves to be okay, it is very likely the starter.. Replacing the starter is easy and can be seen from the top-side of the engine. Remove negative battery terminal, after the breather assembly has been completey removed the starter is accessible. To remove breather holder, there are two bolts in the bottom that will allow you to remove the entire assembly.. There are two bolts on each side of the starter, unplug its wires and just remember how you took them off. There are just a couple of wires. Take your time and pay attention to what you are doing and you will be fine.

my first thought would be to check the starter . if you can tap on the starter and it starts after that..you have a bad starter .
What type of truck is this?
The battery could be (almost) dead, or a battery cable could be lose. I would start by verying these. Also could be: Seized engine Bad starter Bad starter solenoid
A single click and no crank usually indicates a loose battery cable or a faulty starter relay/solenoid.
