Although there is some very personally intimate words shared between Wilson and Colonel Edward M. House throughout their lives. Such as a personal letter dated May 11, 1915, just after the Lusitania affair, in which House ended the note: "My heart goes out to you at this time as never before, and I think of you every hour of the day and wish that I was by your side. ... House" If you ask me, that sounds like it could possibly be thought of as gay, perhaps it is possible that there was a romantic relationship between the two men, but it is not historically recognized if that is the case.
