no it was not. it was the empress of Ireland that happened around the same time as the titanic.
Actually in terms of total tonnage (ship and cargo) the largest shipwreck in history was the Kowloon Bridge which sank with a full load of iron ore and oil.
In terms of loss of life it was the Wilhelm Gustloff. It is estimated that the heavily overloaded vessel took 9400 people with her to the bottom when she was torpedoed in 1945.
In terms of physical size of the vessel itself, it was the Seawise Giant which was sunk (albeit briefly, having been salvaged and repaired) during the Iran-Iraq War. It was (at the time) the world's largest ship, displacing more than half a million tons.
no its not because there have been worst ones
but the titanic is the biggest ocean liner ever
they say its the Queen off the ocean
Titanic
NO! I saw it and it was a great movie. What it is about is the titanic 2 was the memmorial of the titanic 1. If you think the ship sinks you are right.
try 2012, war of the worlds, the happening or knowing.
There isn't really a lesson to it, the story to the Titanic is based on a true event. There really was a ship called the Titanic, and it sank, killing thosands of people, when people thought it was impossible.
the Thompson Dock was the worlds largest dry dock in 1911, so yes it was, and it helped create Titanic and its sister vessels Olympic and Britannic. :)
