Eva cassidy did a wonderful version....In my opinion, far superior to the original. But, I must admit, I always found the original version pretty annoying There is a nice re…ggae version by Horace Andy.
Just an urban legend in the making :) Otis Redding died four+ years before Bill Withers wrote it. There's a video going around youtube and a download on last.fm that claims to… be Otis Redding singing Ain't No Sunshine-but it's not him; most people seem to think it's Al Jareau.
