Best Answer

Many types of caterpillars eat poplar leaves, as does a type of beetle from the Chrysomela species. They are also prone to attack by Poplar Aphids, which burrow into the leaf, causing galls to form. Weevils, such as the Poplar and Willow Borers are another pest, as are scales and mealybugs.
