Let me see what I can find. At everyculture.com it talks about Kenyan Americans. They celebrate two holidays specifically dealing with Kenya. Kenyan Independence Day (probably not the name) on December 12, and Kenyatta Day (October 20), it honors the first Kenya prime minister.
Jamhuri Day, December 12. A celebration of independence since 1963. If it falls on a weekend, there may be a day off on the following Monday.
Kenyatta Day, October 20. This day in honor of all the heroes who died fighting for independence is named for the county's founding president, Jomo Kenyatta.
Madaraka Day, June 1. Celebrates the anniversary of self-government.
