A conclusion is something the summarizes an essay or argument. Often when people in school write conclusions they will use the phrase 'In Conclusion' before summarizing their arguments and restating the main point of their paper [the thesis]. A conclusion is placed at the end of a series of points, or essay.

A conclusion statement is a sentence that sums up what your entire essay is about. Do not state any new information on your topic and do not use a sentence that asks a question. Basically just restate what your essay is trying to say about the topic you wrote about.
