I would call that obligate mutualism. The microbes would be the normal flora of the plant/animal. Like rhizomes on plant roots that fix nitrogen or the E. coli in your intestine making vitamin K. symbiotics I'm not sure if this question is a typo, but an "organism" is an individual form of life, such as a plant, animal, bacterium, protist, or fungus. It is a body made up of organs, organelles, or other parts that work together to carry on the various processes of life.
