How do you start a band as a kid?

Middle schools dont have Marching Bands. they only have regular concert bands. But some middle schools have something called a pep band which they play at Basketball and soccer game. they dont wear uniforms or march tho.

Put out posters in you school, neighborhood, or other places telling people you are starting a band and need anyone talented in an instrument. Make sure you put your phone number for anyone interested and put the age limit of your band.

well my band started in math class last year. Rene was drumming on his desk and i knew exactly what he was drumming and i started humming and.. yeah. Well be spontaneous. "Starting" a band may be difficult if you dont play an instrument and have a friend that plays another instrument. usually bands start with two people. you can arrange something with a music teacher to audition bass players etc. post "Drummer needed" all over the school etc etc etc. hope this helped
