Viscosity is the magnitude of internal friction within a substance. Can be called thickness or stickiness of a substance that determines how fluid the substance is. The viscosity of a substance determines how it should be handled, stored, and discarded. You would not want something very thick (i.e. - corn syrup) in a narrow ended bottle as it would take a long period of time for the substance to come out of the container.

The viscosity makes a substance useful by the viscosity being thick or thin so then if it was thick, it would be useful if you need something strong or something to stick but if it is thin, it would be runny (bit like diherra

- in other words runny poo) then it would be easier to filter and just be a runny substance...

The advantages of viscosity are the resistance to flow, while still being semi fluid. Viscous substances have high internal friction. They are thick and sticky.
