The difference between profit and nonprofit companies is the purpose for which those companies were formed and the tax status they were granted. Nonprofits exists to serve a purpose and may be tax exempt from certain taxes. For profit companies exist to make money, though they may also serve a purpose. They are required to pay taxes.

I belive profit is when ure getting money from a deal or product amd profitabilty is when theres a chancee to profit off of a product or store etc.

Income is the total sum of money brought into the business, and the profit is the fraction of that left after all costs are covered eg. production costs, wages etc.
