4.) Generate Heat

5.) Make up a layer of organs and blood vessels to dilate and constrict

6.) Contract the heart and cause blood to be pumped throughout the body.

    Contractibility- Ability of muscle to shorten and reduce the distance between the parts of its content.

    Extensibility- The ability of muscle to stretch or extend.

    Elasticity- The ability of muscle to return to its original shape.

    Excitability or Irritability- The ability of muscle to recieve an respond to stimulus.
