The Knight could Have worn many types of armor, but the selection depended on his location. If the knight were from France, he would have worn armour with a skinny nose on it
If the knight were from a certain time in Britain, it would have used a type of one piece helmet that had two Eyeholes
If the knight were from Germany or Austria, he would have worn a helmet that most people think about when they think knight
A knight's armor typically consisted of several layers, including a padded undergarment for comfort and to absorb impact, a chain mail shirt for protection against cutting attacks, a metal breastplate for added defense, plate armor pieces to protect the limbs, and a helmet to protect the head. Additional accessories like gauntlets, greaves, and sabatons could also be worn for further protection.
Mounted warriors used a variety of weapons from the eleventh to the sixteenth century. Lances and similar spears were the primary weapon. For closer range combat, swords and maces could be used. The exact type of these groups of weapons changed over time.
Armour also changed over time, becoming generally heavier and heavier and more unweildy as time passed. Eventually the heavily-armed knight on horseback became so awkward that he could be immobilized by knocking him off his horse.
The basic parts of a knight's armor were :
Each section could have mail sections as well as plates, although full chain mail undergarments could be worn separately.

Knights wear metal plates on their chest, arms, hands, shins and face. They wore metal boots on their feet.
A knight would first put on a heavily padded jerkin to serve as a buffer between their skin and the armor, which would help diffuse the force of the blows a knight received. This would be covered by a chainmail hauberk, which was a chain shirt that extended up over the head in a hood and on down to the mid thigh. Over this would be placed a cuirass (back and front torso plates connected by rivets and leather straps). Next a knight would put on his pauldrons and gorget, the shoulder and neck armor, respectively. These would be followed by cuisses, vambrances, and gauntlets which protected the arms. A fauld would be added to protect the upper thighs and and a culette to protect the back and aft quarters. Poleyns, the equivalent of a knee pad made of metal, greaves that protected the shins and the calves, and and sabatons that protected the feet were added, and last a helmet was put over the head as the finishing protective touch.

Knights started wearing plate armor for better protection against arrows and weapons in battle. This armor increased their defense but also reduced their mobility. Additionally, plate armor allowed knights to display their status and wealth.

Knights in Armor - 1976 VG was released on: USA: 1976
Most people think that knights were just men who rode on horses all day, but that is incorrect. The medievil knights can be compared to todays modern tank. They were covered in multiple layers of armor and could plow through anyone standing in their way. Knights were the wealithest of soldiers. It was expensive to be a knight, all their armor shields and weapons cost a lot of money. The knights horse could be compared in price to buying a small plane today.
Metal armor (plate armor) was not invented in medieval age, it was already used by ancient greeks and romans. Metal armor allowed knights to be stronger.
