Hasidic Judaism is a denomination of Orthodox Judaism. Within their Torah-study, they include the Jewish mystic study of Kabbala, and believe that the presence of God is in and around them at all times. They believe strongly in prayer and performing acts of kindness as often as possible.

the origanal idea came from the Baal Shem Tov, and he was trying to shoe that not only literate Jews who could afford books could be rightous people, so he tried to make people learn the ways of the Torah through music and stories, methods that didnt require much knowledge of Torah. Unfortunately nowadays, the consept has drifted to the opposite. its a shame because it was a wonderful idea and i don't think the Baal Shem Tov would be happy about it
