Eldest begins three days after the events of the preceding novel, Eragon, in the dwarf city of Tronjheim, inside of a hollowed mountain namedFarthen Dûr. Farthen Dûr is in the southeastern part of Alagaësia, the fictional continent where the Inheritance Cycle takes place. Throughout the novel, the protagonists travel to many different places: Ellesméra, the elven capital city located in the forest Du Weldenvarden, on the northern portion of Alagaësia; Carvahall, a city located on the northwestern part of Alagaësia in Palancar Valley; and Aberon, the capital of Surda, located in the southern portion of Alagaësia.
Eldest is a red dragon that was the last egg of Galbatorix. Eldest will be Murtagh's dragon")
NO!! Thorn was Murthagh's dragon - the "eldest" is Murthagh, eragon is the "youngest"
No U both are stupid eldest is called eldest because "eldest" is Oromis and Glaedr because they are the oldest duuuuuuuuuuuuuh
no you are the biggest idiot in the world, do not call others stupid when you yourself are a moran...
Chapter 68: EldestEragon greets Hrothgar and returns to the battle. The tide begins turning in the Varden's favor, until Eragon gets a terrible surprise: a new and powerful dragon and Rider emerge from Galbatorix's camp, at the same time that powerful new magicians of theirs also kill the dwarf spell-casters and Hrothgar. Eragon and Saphira fight their new enemies in the air and on the ground, and then, when they are almost drained, Eragon recognizes his opponents fighting style and tears off his helmet to reveal his old friend, Murtagh.see you idiot
it is also said that when murtagh takes the sword he takes it because he is older that eragaon and should haveZar'roc because he is eldest.....
ya i like that answer best
No no no, Murtagh got the sword Zar'roc from Eragon because it was Murtagh's father, Morzons, sword from the battles during the, "Riders fall", and that's why he got the sword even though he told Eragon that they are brothers and have the same parents. For the Eldest part, i think its called eldest because Oromis and Glaedr are a old, wise, and intellagent dragon and rider and taught Eragon the ways of being a dragon rider.
who ever said said"NO!! Thorn was Murthagh's dragon - the "eldest" is Murthagh, eragon is the "youngest" " is smart
well actually in any of the books it doesn't exactly show where it is... all christopher is made up names from the "ancient language" for every place they go. I believe that it was set during the medieval times on a faraway country so far away that the rest of the world couldn't access it then with rain and erosion its gone to this day... lol I'm kidding...but if it were probably around 14th century medieval ... no one can really tell you where except the writer himself
